Step-by-Step Slice Fix

Most slices can be traced back to errors at address. As a reaction to seeing shots curve to the right, slicers get into positions in the setup that only increase their chances of cutting across the ball with an open clubface—and that’s slice city! In this video, teacher Jonathan Buchanan shows how slicers can reverse the sequence that causes a slice and hit a draw instead.

With a better handle on the proper setup, slicers can start to focus on a few moves during the swing that can stop the ball from going right. Things like staying relaxed, letting the weight shift naturally and syncing up your arms and body during the swing. Here, Jonathan Buchanan shares his best advice for making an anti-slice swing.

Another good way to tackle your slice is to focus on checkpoints.
